Cause 4 kids were stubborn and replaced sonic with Jason griffith (my favorite sonic voice but I liked Ryan too) even though Ryan even said he'd pay but he didn't live in New York. Then a bunch of fans wouldn't shut up about sonic's new voice and got Rodger to do it who is sonic voice makes me think like a 40 year old trying to be hip with teens and Danny Phantom. He sounded great as Chris on resident evil but doesn't sound good for sonic(my opinion).

Sometimes with game developers and producers, when it comes to voice overs in anime-related games, they feel that fans would want to hear the same voices as in the anime, regardless of quality. no it`s because 4 kids is in New York New York and they could only use actors who live in New York and the original actors don`t live in New York. However, 4Kids has nothing to do with assigning voice actors to video game roles. 4Kids just so happened to receive the contract to produce the anime series in English. SEGA of America, based in San Francisco, CA, chose to replace the voice actors that they chosen themselves with the 4Kids voice actors of the anime for official recognition across all mediums. some of the games are 4 kids like sonic rush. fun fact by the way: in 1993-1999 Jaleel white AKA Steve urkel used to do the voice of sonic the hedgehog, the reason why is because of his High-pitch-urkelish voice i can honistly say that he did a very good job at it... till he decided not to do it anymore!
