Abraham's father was named Terah, who was a Hebrew of Semitic stock (Genesis ch.11). The Bible doesn't record the name of Abraham's mother, but her name has been preserved in Jewish oral tradition. She was called Amatlai, bat (daughter of) Carnabu (Talmud, Bava Bathra 91a).
