In 1967 Egypt, Jordan and Syria all attempted to destroy Israel. Their plan backfired and the parts of their countries that were closest to Israel were captured by Israel. Allthough Israel offered to return the land to the aggressors for a peace agreement it was refused so Israel has annexed the land till it's neighbors agree to peace.
