Dimitri Mendeleev created the modern Periodic Table in 1869, which was arranged by Atomic Mass.
In 1913, Henry Moseley published the results of his measurements of wavelengths of the X-ray spectral lines of a number of elements. This showed the ordering of the wavelengths of the X-ray emissions of the elements coincided with the ordering of the elements by atomic number, and not atomic mass. Also, further evidence has been shown with the large discovery and use of isotopes of the elements, the periodic law as Mendeleev, Meyers and others had proposed arranged by atomic mass, instead demonstrated that the properties of the elements varied according to their atomic number.
Dmitri Mendeleev... though he actually arranged his table mainly by atomic mass rather than atomic number, because he didn't know what "atomic number" was. He just thought that some of the measured masses must be incorrect. In many cases he actually got the order right, even though it meant his table was not strictly in mass order.
whose periodic table design do we use today
Dmitri Mandeleev
Henry Mosley
Mendeleev
Dmitri Mendeleev arranged the elements in periodic table according to increasing weight. He found their properties to be periodic when arranged in this pattern.
Mendeleev arranged the elements by increasing atomic mass instead of like today by increasing atomic number.
The elements are arranged with increasing atomic number
basically? how they react.some scientist guy who was good with calculations predicted qualitys of elements like, ages ago, before they were discovered.he basically designed the periodic table.if you notice, its in groupsthe first column, alkali metals, get nasty with water or anything more acidicsodium + water = firesodium + pure sulfuric acid = boom-------------------------------------They are arranged in increasing number of protons, and with respect to the number of electrons in the outer electron shell.
The scientist who arranged the elements into triads was Dobereiner.

Dmitri arranged the elements in order of increasing atomic masses. He arranged elements in rows and columns according to atomic masses.
Dmitri Mendeleev and Lothar Meyer first arranged the elements in the increasing order of atomic masses. Bohr and Henry Moseley then arranged the elements in the increasing order of atomic number.
