It is customary to have 'god parents' stand up for the child and a Priest sprinkles water on the forehead. However, infant baptism is a custom of mankind and not The Bible. Christ is the perfect example for each of us and He was baptized as an adult - fully aware of choices and beliefs, freely choosing this symbolic immersion of death of the old self and rising a new being.
As the Apostle Peter was inspired to tell the large crowd that 1st Pentecost Sunday of the Church of God on 17 June 31 AD (fifty days after Jesus' resurrection on Saturday, 28 April 31 AD):

answer:grow up! how is that meant to help anyone? baptisms are performed in certain branches of Christianity and usually by priests but anyone can perform a baptism in the case of an EMERGENCY.Wiki User
