The Gospel of Luke begins with the birth of John the Baptist.
John the Baptizer began his preaching in "the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar" around 29CE.(Luke 1:36; 3:1, 2)
To be different.
john is much older than jesus. john is the baptizer while jesus is the savior
Yes. they are different ways of descibing the same person.
Gabriel (Luke 1: 11-19).
I would suppose it was John the Baptizer. He introduced Christ Jesus to the people.
His mother was Elizabeth, a cousin of Jesus' mother Mary. His father was Zachariah, a temple priest.
John was born and raised in the hilly country of Judea, and it's deserts, staying there until he started his ministry (Luke 1:39+80)
Peter was one of the earliest of Jesus' disciples, being led to Jesus by Andrew, a disciple of John the Baptizer. (Joh 1:35-42)
We don't know. The Bible makes no reference to it. It is possible that John submitted to baptism by one of the twelve Apostles, with whom he had contact from time to time.Even though the Bible makes no reference to it, some still say that John was baptized in his mother's womb before his actual birth (though that was Holy Spirit baptism, rather than water baptism).
he was knowed as john the baptists so im sorry i dont know
It was that people of all sorts came to hear John the Baptizer as he "preached publicly to all the people of Israel baptism in symbol of repentance." (Acts 13:24)
