The Speedwell
The Mayflower, the ship that famously transported the Pilgrims to America in 1620, was purchased by a group of English merchants. These merchants were part of a joint-stock company, which sought to establish a colony in the New World. The ship was bought specifically for this voyage to facilitate the Pilgrims' journey to what is now Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Pilgrims had a hard time surviving because they were short of money. But they sold some of their household items(before they left)to get money. with that money they bought lots of books and some food (that would last like a week with all the people on the ship) and furniture, clothes

We don't have pilgrims these days.
The Mayflower was used to get the pilgrims to America. If you heard of Christopher Columbus then you heard of pilgrims and if you heard of pilgrims you heard of the Mayflower.
