it was FREE to SEE the REAL Titanic back in the day, and today would STILL be FREE
No one ever bought the Titanic because of the fact that many people made it by hand. Thomas Andrews, the head of Harland, and Wolff design department, designed the Titanic. From 1908- 1909, over 15,000 Irish shipyard workers built the ship. Many workers died young because they would fall from hights while building the boat and sadly die.
The ship itself. Several years ago the ship was found and dives to it have taken place. There is film on this. Plus, the passenger list had famous and rich people who bought tickets for the Titanic and went down with the ship. The Olympic was also in use AFTER.
Nobody has bought the Titanic wreck- it cannot be purchased for any amount of money as it is a designated mass grave site in international waters and is protected as such under US law. The ship's original owners were the White Star Shipping Line, but this amalgamated with Cunard in 1934 and disappeared completely in 1950. You may be thinking of the Titanic's sister ship the Britannic, which was sunk by a German submarine in 1916 of the Greek island of Kea during WW1. Her wreck was bought by maritime archaeologist Simon Mills in 1996, who did so to protect it from treasure-hunters and preserve it as it is.
1517 people died, 706 people survived and 2223 people bought a ticket and went on the titanic
BECAUSE THEY FELT LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
