The Great Pyramids at Giza were built for three 4th dynasty pharaohs: khufu, Khafre and Menkaure. The best known is the pyramid of Khufu (reigned 2589-66BC) as it is biggest (480ft high and 750 ft each side at the base).

Not that they did any of the works themselves. This was done by his architects, surveyors, scribes, craftsmen (masons, carpenters, ropemakers, smiths and quarrymen) and thousands of (most likely naked) slave labourers.
