Dmitri Mendeleev came up with the modern Periodic Table in 1869.
Dmitri Mendeleev
Around the same time as Dmitri Mendeleev's publication of his periodic table in 1869, other scientists, including Lothar Meyer, were also developing their own versions of the periodic table. Meyer created a similar table that organized elements by atomic volume and chemical properties. Additionally, John Newlands proposed the Law of Octaves in 1865, which also aimed to classify elements based on their properties. However, Mendeleev's table is the most recognized for its predictive power and organization.
i know they wernt soap or toothpaste
i dont know thats why i came here da
The name "periodic table" was introduced by Dmitri Mendeleev, a Russian chemist, in 1869. Mendeleev organized the elements into a table based on their atomic weights and observed recurring patterns or "periods" in their properties.
The periodic law came first. Mendeleev enunciated this law as "when the elements are arranged in order of increasing atomic weight, there is a periodic repetition of their chemical properties". He proceeded to construct a table based around this law. In constructing the periodic table Mendeleev used remarkable chemical insight, changing the atomic weights of several elements, atomic weight and valence of a few, and leaving a few spaces where there seemed to be room for an undiscovered element in the table -- he was able to predict the chemical properties of these then undiscovered elements with amazing accuracy.
Many attempts were made by Dobereiner , Newlands and Mendeleev in initial stages. Later on , the idea of arranging elements in increasing atomic number came up which is the today's periodic table.
The periodic table came after the atomic model. The modern periodic table was developed based on the atomic structure proposed by scientists such as John Dalton, J.J. Thomson, Ernest Rutherford, and Niels Bohr. Mendeleev's periodic table was published in 1869, while the atomic model continued to evolve throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The very first periodic table was created by Dmitri Mendeleev and was based mainly on atomic masses. The modern periodic table was designed by Henry Moseley and is based not only on atomic masses but also their chemical and physical properties.
