Jews, Muslims, and Christians :)
The three religions.
Jerusalem is the Holy City for Christians, Jews, and Muslims.
In general, Buddhism does not consider Jerusalem a holy city.
Jerusalem is in Israel.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) does not really have a city that it considers holy. Like all Christians, they refer to Jerusalem and the surrounding area as the 'Holy Land', as much of the Bible takes place there. They also believe in the physical concept of Zion - a New Jerusalem and city of God built at the time of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. They believe that this holy city will be located in the United States. Church headquarters is located in Salt Lake City, but the city is not considered holy.
Jerusalem. It was the city of prophets, of the holy Temple, and the dynasty of King David. For the importance of Jerusalem for Judaism, see: Jerusalem in Judaism
Islam's holy book is the Qur'an. Jerusalem is a city and therefore has no holy book.
Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is considered to be the holy place for Judaism, but not for Christianity. While much of the New Testament was written concerning Jesus' life in Israel, Christians do not consider Jerusalem to be a holy place. Christians believe that God can be worshiped at any place and any time on the planet; they also believe their bodies are living temples thus there is no need for a physical temple (Bible, 1 Corinthians 6:19)
Jerusalem.
The holy city for christians is Jerusalem, which is also the holy city of the jews.
