Pinnacle Foods as they bought out Aurora Foods in 2003 . Mrs. Butterworth's syrup is not the real thing and only has Maple syrup flavoring in it along with High fructose corn syrup. surprising Pinnacles other brand Log Cabin now proudly proclaims no HFCS ( and those who like to say HFCS is the same as sugar then why is only sugar found in baby food) Once you've tried the real Maple Syrup you'll never prefer anything else. but sadly not everyone can justify the price I agree its not real maple syrup, but I think its origins were. this is one of those bits of trivia that I don't think anyone knows, so I hate to give it up. Its like power......... Unilever (back when they were The Lever Bros. company) owned Mrs. Butterworth's before Aurora. The brand was created in 1961 and I believe they might have created the brand. Originally the brand had real butter in it and I think it might have also had real maple syrup. Now there's not a lot of real ingredients in it!
Mrs. Butterworth's is made from corn syrup not real maple syrup and is not graded. It is artificially flavored pancake syrup.
