The Green Bridge of Wales Bosherston, Pembrokeshire - Wales, UK
it was formed millions of years ago
Most of the year the 'bridge' has lush green grass growing along the top and a slight covering of green lichen growing in places where there is not enough soil to grow grass. It is not actually a man made bridge but a natural rock formation eroded by the sea to resemble a bridge.
i can say it is min. 237m tall and max. 379m tall
Anglesey is an island situated off the North West coast of Wales next to Gwynedd. It is the largest island in the UK. It is connected to mainland Wales by two bridges - the Menai Suspension Bridge (designed by Thomas Telford in 1825) - the Brittania Bridge (designed by Robert Stephenson)
Princess of Wales Bridge was created in 1992.
Cracks in the rock got filled with water causing the expansion of the cracks. then rocks get broken off as it expands. The arch is formed only when all the rock is removed and stronger, harder rock is left over making the arch. Then (this will happen to the Green Bridge of Wales someday) as the arch gets bigger and biggger and bigger until the top of the arch collapses leaving something called a stack and then as the stack erodes leaving only a stump
The Severn bridge is one from near Bristol to South Wales. There are now two bridges
There are NO bridges connecting England to Wales. There is a common land boarder. However, within Wales, there are the Menai Bridge, Britannia Bridge, Pont y Cysyllte Bridge (Yes the spelling), Queensferry Bridge, and now dismantled the Transporter Bridge at Newport, Monmouthshire. There numerous other bridges too!!!! NB THe Pont y Cysyllte Bridge is an aqueduct for barge traffic over the River Dee. It is an extension to the Llangollen Canal. It is basically a metal trough of water for barges to float across. It can be walked across, but cannot carry any other form of transport. It is a unique piece of civil engineering by Thos. Telford. It was built approximately 200 years ago, on high stone piers , and at it height is approximetly 150 ft ( 50 metres) above the River Dee.
There are two, the Menai (suspension) bridge and the Brittania bridge
Wales Green Party was created in 1973.
The ANZAC Bridge in Sydney Australia replaced the Glebe Island Bridge. It was designed by Percy Allan who also designed the Pyrmont Bridge.
