The earliest known proposal that the Sun was at the center of our solar system while the planets moved around it was by Aristarchus of Samos, a Greek mathematician and astronomer who lived in the 3rd century BC. (Others may have proposed it earlier, but no reference to them remains after 2400 years.) However, the views of Aristotle proved easier to accept.
It wasn't until Copernicus developed the same theory (probably independently) based on more accurate and complete observational data that the heliocentric view of the solar system was widely accepted.
The person who proposed the Heliocentric theory was Nicolaus Copernicas. The theory was later reinforced by Galileo and Kepler. Nicolaus would have been burned to the stake for publishing his book about the heliocentric theory and heresy.
The first person known to have written about the Earth revolving around the "Central Fire" (meaning the Sun) was Aristarchus of Samos, a Greek astronomer and mathematician about 2400 years ago.
Aristarchus for he first questioned the geocentric and thought of the heliocentric model.
Kepler, Copernicus, and Galileo Galilei were major contributors.
Copernicus
Galileo had created that theory and had questioned Aristotle
Galileo proposed the heliocentric theory that the earth revolves around the sun.
The heliocentric model of the solar system was first proposed by Nicolaus Copernicus in 1543.

Ernest Rutherford, following the "gold foil" experiment.
JJ Thomson called his model of the atom the plum pudding model.
There are lots of scientist out their. Three scientist that I know are Democritus's model name is Atomos. Another is Erin Schrodinger and Werner Heisenberg model name is the charged cloud model. Finally, I know Ernest Rutherford's model name is the neon atom.
James Watson and Francis crick
The current model of an atom is called the Bohr model.
The Bohr Model is the modern name used by scientist for a model of an atom, which is often referred to as the Rutherford-Bohr model due to the fact that Neils Bohr just improved Ernest Rutherfords model.
That is a very vague question but I would say Darwin who proposed the theory of evolution which conflicted with religious views that God created humans.
Eilhard Mitscherlich proposed the name 'benzin', benzene being derived from that.
The name of a scientist that studies sports is called a sports scientist.
Lutetium was proposed as the name for the element with atomic number 71 by French scientist Georges Urbain, one of its several discoverers on 1907. It was adopted as the official name by the The Commission on Atomic Mass in 1909.
