Edgar Degas never got married.

He lost all of his friends at an early age so probably never even thought about marriage or even dating. What i saw in this video about Mary Cassatt (which mentioned him in it) was that neither of them wanted to get married because there spouse would always say how it looks good or i like it, and they wanted some criticism on their work.
