No. He only viewed it from a mountaintop. He was not permitted to enter, because he had misrepresented God to His people during the journey from Egypt.
The bible says that God told Moses to speak to a rock when they were thirsty. He got angry and hit the rock instead (as he had before) and although the rock still gave water, mosos had disobeyed, so God punished him by allowing him to see the promise land, but not to enter it.
