The last significant pyramid discovered was the pyramid of Pharaoh Ameny Qemau, found in 2022 near the ancient city of Saqqara in Egypt. This discovery added to the rich history of pyramid construction during the Middle Kingdom period. Archaeologists continue to explore and excavate in the area, which is known for its numerous tombs and pyramids.
King tut doesn't have a pyramid he was buried in a tomb in the Valley of the Kings. The tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922.

Like many things about the great pyramid the 'cost' is not known - however it is more than likely that the 'cost' would not have been a factor. It has always been there, known to be there and seen to be there, so no one found or discovered it.
