You do not talk to anyone. You sit down and start writing. Being a writer does not mean having some special degree, knowing some special sorts of people, or having some special list of words that somehow make themselves into a book.
Being a writer means plopping your butt down in your chair every day and working. Set a deadline and write a certain number of pages every day. If you are writing, then you are a writer.
