Does Fireheart die

Firestar never died as Fireheart, he is still alive and well as of the first book, The Fourth Apprentice of the third series, Omen of the Stars, with four of his nine lives left. No one knows how Firestar will lose his last life, but rumor has it that he will die sometime in the fourth series.
The following answer contains spoilers for Warriors book Warriors #6: The Darkest Hour to Warriors: Power of Three #5: Long Shadows.

As a leader with nine lives, Firestar dies several times in the series, and is reborn with a new life from StarClan. So far, Firestar has lost five lives. One to Scourge, one to rats, a falling tree, and greencough. At the end of Long Shadows, Firestar has five lives. Victoria Holmes, editor of the series, has confirmed that Firestar will eventually loose all his nine lives, most likely at the end of the fourth series, Omen of the Stars.

Fireheart is an orange cat with bright green eyes from the Warriors Series by Erin Hunter. He was born in twolegplace (a neighborhood full of humans) and was brought to Thunderclan by Thunderclan's leader and a Thunderclan warrior. He trained in Thunderclan even though he was born a kittypet (owned by a human) and soon turned from an apprentice to a clan warrior. *****Spoiler Alert***** Later, after exposing a trusted clanmate's betrayal and having the original clan leader die saving her clan from the betraying clanmate's evil plots, he becomes the clan leader, Firestar! He then, pretty much, becomes a backround character for the next two series as the next books revolve around his descendants. As of the fifth book, Long Shadows, in the third series, The Power of Three, he has five of his nine lives left. No one knows how Firestar will die but there are rumors going around that he will die in the first book in the fourth series.
