Just prior to sunset on the Feast of Passover - just before the start of the High Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. This would have been just before the end of Wednesday day or sunset. He remained in the tomb Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday just before the sunset again - a full 72 hours. He was seen in the darkness of the 1st day of the week - Sunday probably between 2-5 AM.

Beginning with Mark's Gospel, as this was the first New Testament gospel to be written: The young man must have been the first to enter the tomb on the day of the resurrection. Some time later, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome entered as saw the young man there.

In Matthew's Gospel, no one entered Jesus' tomb. An angel came down from heaven, spoke to Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, telling them to go quickly.

In Luke's Gospel, two men in shining garments were already in the tomb when the women arrived. These women who entered the tomb were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and other women.

In John's Gospel, Peter was the first to go inside the tomb, followed by the disciple whom Jesus loved, who had already looked in through the entrance. Later, Mary Magdalene stooped down and looked inside but apparently did not go inside.
