In our unit's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), we implement several key OPSEC measures, including regular training on identifying and mitigating risks related to sensitive information. We enforce strict access controls to classified materials and ensure that all communications are conducted through secure channels. Additionally, we conduct routine audits and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and reinforce a culture of vigilance among all personnel. Continuous monitoring and real-time reporting of suspicious activities are also integral to our routine.
A functional, active, and documented OPSEC program will have the following common features: an OPSEC Program Manager or OPSEC Officer appointed in writing; the use of the five-step OPSEC process; an OPSEC SOP to document the unit, activity, installation, or staff organization's critical information and OPSEC measures to protect it; and the coordination of OPSEC with other security programs.
