Henry Hudson
England and Holland
The eastern coast of "New Holland" was first explored and charted by Lieutenant James Cook (not yet a captain). Cook claimed the east coast for England, naming it New South Wales.
Holland and England sponsored an English sea captain to find a route in Asia from the northern sea. The captain was Henry Hudson.
He explored for both the Netherlands and for England.
Both the English and the Dutch (Holland). It depends when he was sailing.
The both have great agriculture. They are both European countries. They are both members of the European Union. They both have coastlines. They are both small countries. These are just some of the things they have in common. There are many others.
Spain, France, England, Holland, Sweden and Portugal all had claims in both North America and the Caribbean.
There were actually SEVEN countries which set up colonies in the Americas: Spain, Portugal, France, England, Holland, Sweden and Russia

I don't really get your question but you have North Holland and South Holland (Noord Holland & Zuid holland) Both are provinces of the Netherlands. The Netherlands are often named Holland, also by the Dutch but this is just the same like England to Great Brittain. New Zealand is named after the Dutch province, Zeeland.
Holland, by way of England
