At the beginning of the first scene Sampson and Abram are fighting. Benvolio stops them. Then Tybalt enters and fights with Benvolio. The officer stops them. Then Capulet and Montague enters and fights. The prince stops them.
Montagues and Capulets, specifically Abram and Balthazar for the Montagues and Gregory and Sampson for the Capulets. As things escalate, Benvolio and Montague weigh in on the Montague side and Tybalt and Capulet join in on the Capulet side.
It's a play, not a book. There are a number of major fights including one in act one between a bunch of Montagues, especially Benvolio, and a bunch of Capulets, especially Tybalt. In Act 3, Tybalt fights Mercutio and kills him, then Romeo fights Tybalt and kills him. In Act 5, Romeo fights Paris and kills him.
