It was developed many, many years ago.
In Greek city-states, the idea of having an acropolis on top of a hill serving as a safe refuge or a religious temple, the idea of having an agora below the acropolis, having citizenship and having the citizens run the city-state developed in Greek city-states. Greek city-states also started using citizens as soldiers.
It was gradually developed, over many decades.
The first evidence of nuclear energy was found in the late 1800s when a scientist found that sealed photographic plates that he had left in his desk drawer with some rocks were fogged when developed. This effect (of the rocks on the plates) was called radioactivity. It took many experiments to find ways to get this energy on demand.
Two electrons can be housed in the first energy level.
Before Mendeleev, Dobereiner, De-chancourtis, Newland and Lother Meyers had already given their respective periodic arrangement of elements, but none of the models were accepted as they had many limitations...

One of the first microscopes was developed by Antonie van Leeuwenhoek in the 17th century. He was a Dutch scientist known for his pioneering work in microscopy, which led to many important discoveries in the field of biology.
