The Anti Saloon League of Texas formed in 1907 to fight for laws banning alcohol. Prohibition was instituted nationwide in 1919, so it could be said that the ASL of Texas did work for a while. However, once prohibition went into effect, the ASL of Texas couldn't agree on what their objective should be - to educate the public, or to enforce the prohibition laws. Because of this divide, they started to wither. Prohibition was repealed in 1933, and the ASL of Texas was no longer relevant.

It worked for a while. The Anti-Saloon League of Texas was formed in 1907 to fight for laws prohibiting the manufacture, transportation, and sale of all alcoholic beverages. Prohibition reduced alcohol consumption and remained widely popular through the 1920s, but during the Great Depression, it quickly became unpopular. By 1933, the Anti-Saloon League in Texas (and other Anti-Saloon leagues across the country) withered as prohibition was repealed nationwide.

The League of Nations.
The Anti-Saloon League of Texas officially ended in 1933 when prohibition was repealed. It started to wither prior to that, though, when prohibition was instituted nationwide in 1919, because they couldn't agree on what their purpose was once alcohol was illegal.
