In Greek mythology, Hestia, Goddess of the hearth or fireside is the daughter of Rhea. Rhea gave birth to her daughter, who was fathered by a man named Cronus.
Hestia is the Greek goddess of the hearth fire, hence presiding over domestic life. She is the eldest sister of Zeus and the oldest daughter of Rhea and Cronus. Rhea gave birth to 5 children, but Cronus ate them all. When the sixth child was born, Rhea hid him and gave Cronus a wrapped-up stone, which he ate. After the child, Zeus, had grown up, he gave his father a medicine which made him throw up the first 5 children. Unharmed! Hestia was one of them.
Greek mythology did not have a when to Hestia's birth in a where, Hestia was the firstborn goddess of the Titan goddess Rhea, wife of Cronos.

Hestia worked at Mount Olympus as goddess of the hearth. This position gave her control of domestic life.
Actually,Hestia did have a throne. But when Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and festivity was born, there were no more seats. So in courtesy to Dionysus,Hestia gave up her seat on Olympus and gave it to him.
It matters if you like her, or don't. I think Hestia is nice; she gave up her seat of the 12 Olympians to Dionysus.
she gave them power to build houses
Fire is in the keeping of Hestia, and when it is considered that Prometheus gave fire to man, and what man has done with fire; it should be clear that Hestia needs no weapons.
