Arthritis has NO age limit. Anybody can get it!

What i am really trying to say is, "are older people more prone to Arthritis than younger people" and if the answer is yes, i would also like to know " why Are older people more prone to arthritis than younger people.
I have searched on many websites and all of them just assume that this is true, but none of them really say why. If the answer is so obvious, why don't they just say it. I know that it has something to do with the fact that your bones get more worn and torn as you go through life, but can anyone expand on that!
