Hard Question. The thing is, Sega never made Sally, A guy called Archie did and was given permission to do a comic about Sonic's Adventures with Sally as a love interest. But Sega never made this making it possible Sonic and Sally are just fiction in the Sega world. It is possible that Sega wanted Sonic and Amy to be together because of the evidence in the 2005 Disney Magazine saying that Sonic is in love in Amy but is afraid to show it. It's most likely Sonic loves Amy because Sega created and owns Sonic. My opinion would be that there are two dimensions, The Archie Dimension and the Sega Dimension. In the Archie dimension Sonic would love Sally and in the Sega Dimension, Sonic would love Amy. So I guess you could say, Sonic does love Sally, in a way.
