Baron von Steuben
There was no battle at Valley Forge. The winter of 1777-1778 there is important because General Washington (with the help of Baron von Steuben) got the revolutionary soldiers trained in military tactics. This helped them in later battles.
Baron von Steuben was the main leader in training the troops at Valley Forge.Marquis de Lafayette and Gen. Washington also helped with the training (Lafayette more than Washington.) Hope this helped!! SMK :)

Martha Washington did not have a specific job in the War she just followed Geroge Washington around the battle field, and she helped injured soldiers
Martha Washington mostly accomplished the good, loyal house wife job... she always stayed by George Washington's side. Which leads to when in Valley Forge she helped tend for soldiers that were wounded or dieing or were starving to death or had been frost-bitten.Martha Washington was the First Lady of the United States of America she was married to George Washington. Martha was a widow before marrying George, she is known for visiting troops in while traveling to visit her husband. There are no documented awards given to Martha.
