Who helps green lantern in his quest?

Green lantern is a member of the Justice League. ( apart from service with the Green Lantern Corps) In the comic books, circa l968, he often teamed up with Flash. Green Lantern has some unusual limitations such as will-power slumps and at times a compulsive need to rush-recharge his ring from the Power Battery. When Green Lantern is running on the batteries- he is very vulnerable and sometimes needs help from, well I have mentioned Flash as a comrade. His other hassle is how to hide the Lantern device so he can immediately find it, but nobody else can. These hassles are inevitably worked into the plots- quite often, but not in every episode- it is a performance limitation akin to Kryptonite, but quite different. Some have suggested a pun on chemical dependency ( aka Droggs!)
