Anne Frank and her family (Otto Frank [Dad], Edith Frank-Hollander [Mom], Margot Frank [older sister]) went into their hiding spot, the secret annex on the morning of Monday, 6 July 1942. They moved in a few weeks earlier then Otto Frank expected since Margot Frank received a call-up notice from the Central Office for Jewish Emigration ordering her to report to work in a work camp. A week later, on 13 July 1942, the van Pels family (Herman van Pels [dad], Auguste van Pels [mom], Peter van Pels [son]) moved into the annex. And later in November, a dentist and friend of the family moved in with them. The 8 of them lived in the annex until a German uniformed police stormed into the annex on 4 August 1944 follow a tip from a unknown informer.
