I had posted this in the official rules thread, but realised it would get lost in all the posts so I'm giving it its own thread. I hope this is somewhat helpful to those who want to strategize their legacy and not waste precious time trying to figure out who is and who isn't eligible for marriage.

Legacy Challenge: You are not allowed to knowingly marry or move in someone who has the "rich" trait, according to Pinstar's official legacy rules. He gives some grey area that allows you to UNKNOWINGLY move in rich sims that have not been recognised as rich. He allows this simply because it is almost impossible for your sim to NOT know when someone is rich as usually that is the first impression they get from speaking to or visiting them. (If someone could grab me the exact link where Pinstar says this in the rules thread, I would appreciate it as I don't feel like having to wade through 20+ pages.)

How can I know if someone is rich?: You can use this list for one. These are zero-day rich households, so they are mostly confirmed to be rich the first day you start your legacy. You can also check to see if your sim knows so-and-so is rich by checking their social tab and hovering your mouse over the person's portrait.

Are you sure so-and-so is really rich? The trait doesn't show up for me!: Some households indeed carry the rich trait, but under certain circumstances, will not show up as rich depending on the way you get to know them. If their richness is based on lot value alone, it may be easy to marry a person without knowing they're rich if you have never visited their home. Also, it seems that sometimes the observant ability does not register the rich trait if you do not visit their lot as well. I imagine certain townies may carry things on their person or be employed a certain place that might lead your sim to know off the bat they are rich (limousines, expensive cars, high ranking jobs). I have no control over how your sim gets to know the following households nor is it a science to ignoring the rich trait, therefore I warn you that even if you attempt to marry someone listed below, beware that if the stars do not align for you, your sim may very well end up finding out they are rich before the crucial "move in", " go steady" or "propose" options.

How "Rich" Works: Rich is a secondary trait that appears under default traits when looking at someone in the social panel. You can quickly assess whether someone has the rich trait or not simply by going to their homes and being invited in. The trait itself is vague as it will consider a household rich sometimes by lot value alone, instead of actual household funds. A good example of this are households like Working Friends.

How this list was composed: Using testingcheatsenabled allowed my sim to know everyone then immediately I bought myself the "observant" trait and the fastest car. I then sent my sim out to visit all the households. I tried my best to double check multiple loads of first day Riverview and Sunset Valley, but I may not have been as thorough as possible. Riverview I noticed had a lot of rich sims, and even once considered the Broke household to be rich so I cannot promise 110% accuracy. I tried not list teenagers, children, and infants due to inability to rob from the cradle and marry such sims. If I am missing a first-day "rich" trait household, please don't hesitate to tell me. I will check your claim and add it to the list.

DISCLAIMER: Due to the nature of story progression, the longer you play your legacy and the more time that passes, the less true this list may become. Story progression has a way of messing with families, condensing rich families in with poor families and what not. If this is your first day in your legacy however, I can assure you these these families are "rich."

Cuz it's not the sims who is rich but thieir household here is a list of the richest households in Sunset Vslley: (starting with richest) this would make Nick Alto the next richest man. :D
