Though the source of all wisdom, energy and power, and the creator of the universe and the earth and everything good (Isaiah 40:26)(Psalm 83:18)(Revelation 4:11), God still cares for us(1 Peter 5:6+7)(Psalms 8:3+4), and wants us to draw close to him(James 4:8). Though we are comparatively weak, and just made of 'dust'(Psalm 103:14-17)(Isaiah 64:8), God listens to our prayers (Psalm65:2)(Psalm 66:19+20), and answers them (Philippians 4:6)(Matthew 7:7-11), even 'bowing low' to encourage us (Lamentations 3:20). Because he is a humble God, he loves this quality in mankind(James 4:6). King David commented on God's humility at 2 Samuel 22:36, as God, in essence, 'reaches down' from heaven to deal kindly with those who love him(Psalm 113:5-7)(Psalm 51:17). When God spoke to Abraham, his friend (Isaiah 41:8), He humbled himself, and encouraged a conversation, listening to Abraham's concerns(Genesis 18:22-32), as he listens to us today. Only a being of incredible humility, would make such an effort to dignify and honor his earthly creation in such a way!
