As of today, scholars and scientists both affirm that the art of beauty products and care was originated as far back as in the lands of ancient Egypt. This is because the ancient Egyptians intentionally utilized various methods for creating their own concept of what was then considered to be beautiful. The Egyptians are also considered to be the very first people in history who took natural ingredients (commonly coined as herbs) to implement certain colors, effects or looks in their beauty remedies for skin, hair and overall beauty. Not only was their sense of beauty powerful, but the Egyptians also conceived various beauty methods and products that were able to endure the hot, blazing sun and scorching desert temperatures.

Similarly, the ancient Romans and Greeks adapted their own approaches for implementing beauty within their cultures. The Romans specifically invented to concept of hair straightening and the permed hairdo. The Greeks are thought to have taken some of Egypt’s original concepts to use for their own means, such as changing their skin tone by adopting new diets and using herbs and other natural ingredients to serve as various beauty treatments.
