Is there any body out there knows how to play a 8 string bass guitar. I pick up and there is no musical books on hoe to play one I need some help.
Nothing. I haven't had a guitar in about 8 years.
Between none and 12 depending on how many are missing! And that's not as daft as it sounds. An unusual but not unheard-of technique is to remove the octave (usually e, a and d, sometimes also g) strings from a 12-string, leaving only the unison strings and resulting in a 9-string or 8-string guitar. This retains the chorused sound of the higher strings but removes the octave doubling of the lower strings. Another technique is known as "Nashville tuning". This can also be done on a six-string but there is no reason why it shouldn't be applied to a 12-string. It consists of using ONLY the octave and unison strings from a 12-string set, giving a 6-string with a re-entrant tuning which can be used to double a conventional rhythm part, or to produce a less bass-heavy chordal part.
One can purchase an 8-string guitar in any local music store. One can also purchase such a guitar on a variety of online websites such as "Amazon", "Thomann", and many more.
The double bass has 4 strings. It is a classical instrument that is related to the violin and cello, but is the largest in this family. There are basses that have more strings, but they are usually electric instruments, such as 5 or 6 stringed basses. As well, there are 8 and 12 string basses that have "duplicate strings" that are tuned to a higher octave to it's root string (similar to a 12-string guitar).

Bass Guitars A four string bass has an open string arrangement consisting of E, A , D , and G (from thickest to thinnest). This is the standard bass arrangement. The five string bass also has the E, A, D, and G arrangement, but adds an extra low B string above the E. This allows for a broader reach in note pitch since you are allowed for extra notes with the B string. For instance, on a standard four string bass you would have to tune down the E string two frets to get the dropped D pitch. But with a five string bass, there is no need to tune your E string since the D can be played on the third fret of the newly added fifth string (the B string). This lower B is especially popular with the modern hard rock/thrash metal crowd, and some of the screamo bands. For many players, there is a struggle with the low-b being "sloppy", which can largely be corrected by using a longer scale neck (35" at a minimum) and/or a different brand or gauge of strings Standard four string bass: E A D G Five string bass: B E A D G Six string bass: B E A D G C NB: you can also, if you wish, instead of using the extra string for a low B, you can retune the first four strings into standard tuning, I.e, E-A-D-G, and have the highest string as a high C. This arrangement is used quite frequently by bassists who prefer tighter strings, and an extra range up high, as well as getting a deeper, more bass-y sound from the thicker E string.
It belongs to the string instrument family, such as the violin, cello, and the harp.Strings? What were you thinking?
The Bass guitar only has 4 strings, but are thicker to create a deeper rhthym and beat. Improvement: Some bass guitars have more. like the war bass can have 11-12 i think but if your trying to find a good beginner bass id start with the four string one. A bass guitar generally has 4 strings, E A D and G, while there are other varieties. A Low B ( B E A D G ) 5 string is also widely available, to enhance the Bass-y sounds one may wish to play with, as well as six string varieties, with an expanded upper range, and which are extremely difficult to play due to the wide fretboard, are also available, however less commonly than other variants.

Usually 6 strings for an average acoustic and electric guitar, but there is many exceptions. For example, electric guitars are 8 stringed guitars which consist of the average 6 strings EADGBe on a regular guitar but also have the two extra bass stings F♯and B. There is even a guitar called the classical guitar which has an unbelievable 12 strings on it. ,- Roxas Riku
