If the "invention" of the Apple Macintosh computer had to be narrowed down to one person, then it would have to be Jef Raskin (March 9, 1943–February 26, 2005) Mr. Raskin, the 31st employee of Apple Computer, was the person who assembled the development team for the Macintosh Project for Apple Computer in September of 1979. The entire development team on the early Macintosh project consisted of: Jef Raskin, Bill Atkinson, Burrell Smith, Chris Espinosa, Joanna Hoffman, George Crow, Jerry Manock, Susan Kare, Andy Hertzfeld, and Daniel Kottke.
