Magnetic storage goes as far back as the 1900 World's Fair, where a Danish engineer (Valdemar Poulsen) introduced a telegraphone. Floppy disks are used all over the world and they were invented in 1950 at the Imperial University in Tokyo by Doctor Yoshiro Nakamats. He granted the sales licence for the floppy disk to IBM. In the 1970's they gained popularity and became a major source of data storage.
the first floppy disk was developed by IBM BY ALAN SHUGART in 1967

IBM, they stored microcode for System/370 computers (June 30, 1970). Each floppy was 8 inches square with a capacity of 80,000 bytes. You uIPL (microcode initial program load) the machine with the floppy and put it back in storage. Then you IPL (initial program load) the machine with the operating system from the selected tape or hard disk.
IBM invented the floppy disk back in the 70's.

Once the standard had been agreed on - and proven succesful - there were several companies that produced disks and even drives.
The floppy disk drive (FDD) was invented at IBM by Alan Shugart in 1967.

Did you mean to spell Floppy disk? The floppy disk was invented by a team of IBM researchers led by Alan Shugart. The chief designer of Shugart's team was David Noble. The first floppy disks became available in 1971.

the 8-inch floppy disk which held 79.7 kilobytes.
a floppy disk slot is what you put the floppy disk in on a CPU
For putting a floppy disc in. Floppy discs were used a lot in the 1970's as CD's were not invented until the 1980's
A floppy disk DRIVE can read, erase and save information on a floppy disk. The disk can't do it by himself.
no the floppy disk rotate slower its because hard disk rotate faster then floppy disk
