Ceiling Cat (also spelt 'Ceeling Cat', 'Seeling Cat' and many other variants) is a representation of a deity in the form of a cat that lives in the ceiling or roof of every house, analogous to the christian God in heaven. There is also a comparable cat that lives in the basement, coincidentally called Basement Cat - this cat is similar to the christian devil/Satan in hell.
