Not much is known about Galacta Knight. According to the robotic wishing star NOVA, Galacta Knight is the most powerful warrior in the universe, but he was sealed away, because whoever imprisoned him wanted to keep the universe safe from his power. When Meta Knight asked NOVA to bring him the most powerful warrior in the universe (so he could beat the warrior and feel better about himself after Kirby defeated him in Meta Knight's Revenge), NOVA freed Galacta Knight, and Meta Knight defeated Galacta Knight. Galacta Knight later reappeared in Kirby's Return to Dreamland.

The final boss in the level is Galacta Knight, an upgraded version of Meta Knight, and he played through Spring Breeze, Dyna Blade, The Great Cave Offensive, Return of Meta Knight, and Milky Way Wishes, hoping to find the greatest warrior in the galaxy. Once he found the Nova, it granted Meta Knight's true desire: to battle the toughest warrior in the galaxy. In the end, Meta Knight defeated Galacta Knight. Galacta Knight was sealed away by ancients.
