Henry II of England was an Anglo Norman english king who ruled England (and half of France) between 1154-1189. He was the great-grandson of the Norman Conqueror William the Conqueror who had invaded and subjected England in 1066. Henry would be famous for his strong rule and constitutional reforms after an 18 year war of succession called "The Anarchy" between 1135-1153. He would also be famous for his quarrels with Archbishop Thomas Becket which led to Beckets infamous assassination in 1170.
