Currently(9th March 2012) the Tánaiste is Eamon Gilmore, who serves a Dublin constituency and is originally from the west of Ireland. He has no connection to Cork. The previous Tánaiste, and in office when this question was originally asked, was Mary Coughlan from Donegal, so also not having a Cork connection.
