Jaywing is the ancient Jayfeather. Jayfeather had another life, years and years ago, when the Tribe of Rushing Water lived at the lake. Jayfeather revisited that scene when he entered the tunnels and somehow came out at the other end back in time as Jaywing. Then the Tribe cast stones to see if they should leave, and Jayfeather figured out that they would become the Tribe and cast his stone to leave, but as they started off on their journey to the mountians, Rock came for Jayfeather and said that the real Jaywing disappeared, and so Jayfeather went home and forward in time to ThunderClan.
