In the book 'Of Mice and Men' Lennie is Lennie Small, he is George's best friend.
He is traveller looking for work during the great depression in America.
He is very big but doesn't no his own strength. He is also not very bright.
He is obsessed with rabbits and loves touching soft things which gets him into a lot of trouble.
Curley's wife comes in and threatens Lennie when he is alone in the barn. She becomes angry and afraid when Lennie accidentally kills her by breaking her neck while petting her hair.

When George gets angry with Lennie for causing trouble, he threatens to go to a place where Lennie won't be able to find him and live an easier life without the burden of taking care of him.
When Lennie comes into the house, he talks about how he likes petting soft things. His actions of petting the soft puppy are similar to when he grabbed a woman's dress because he was attracted to its softness. Both instances show Lennie's innocent desire for comfort and his inability to control his strength.
Surprised then tells him to get out but then doesn't care and tells Lennie to take a seat.

Lennie is hunched over because he is feeling guilty and ashamed for accidentally killing Curley's wife in the barn. He understands the consequences of his actions and is overwhelmed with remorse.
Curly dislikes Lennie upon first meeting him because Curly is a small man who is insecure about his size, and Lennie's large stature threatens him. Additionally, Lennie's innocence and simplicity make him an easy target for Curly to assert his dominance.
George tells Lennie to hide in the bushes by the river if he gets in trouble and they get separated. He asks Lennie to remember this spot in case they need to regroup.
