I met Robert Koeppler in December, 2012, visiting with a group of people sitting in McDonald's in Quartzsite, AZ. Yes, he is still living. He showed us a calendar for 2013 that a friend of his made, using pictures of his work and a US stamp showing his minature stage coach in silver. I have tried to find pictures of his art on computer without luck. If anyone knows where to find pictures, I would appreciate it. He is a talented, kind man that does beautiful art and jewelry.
*He is living in Crane, MT and is still alive as of August 2013. I do not know where to find pictures of his art though.

Robert Koeppler was an amazing silversmith who made silver jewelry with agates he found, cut and polished himself. He lived in Quartzsite, AZ in the winter and Crane, MT in the summer. I assume he has passed because I no longer hear from him and he used to write regularly. He was a good friend and teacher to my mother, also a silversmith. He taught her to make life-like miniatures of everyday items. He also handmade the boxes he put his jewelry in and his own note paper he wrote all his letters on. He was part of the FDR art train in the 1940's.
