Samneric is the nickname which rest of the boys gibve to a pair of identical twins. The two brothers are called Sam and Eric. However as they look alike, act alike and even finish each others sentences the rest of the boys treat them as a single person with the combined name of Samneric.
Samneric are twin boys on the island in "Lord of the Flies." They start off loyal to Ralph, but eventually succumb to Jack's influence and join his tribe. Their loyalty to each other is a central theme in the novel.
In chapter 10, Jack tells someone in his tribe to tie them up. In chapter 12, Samneric tell Ralph that Jack forced them to join his tribe or he will hurt them
The irony of Sam and Eric's behavior is that they betray Ralph shorty after talking about the importance of honor. Lord of the Flies was written by William Golding.
Samneric is the term used toward the end of "Lord of the Flies" to refer to the twins Sam and Eric. As events grow more chaotic, the twins' identities merge.
