Samuel Butler was a Victorian novelist.He was born on either the 4th or 5th December 1835 in Langar, which is near Nottinghamshire in England. He died on the 18th of June in 1902.Samuel is most famously known for his utopian novel, titled Erewhon. He is also known for his semi-autobiographical novel, titled The Way Of All Flesh. Samuel is also credited as one of the first ever authors to describe machines with artificial consciousness. He translated some of Homer's major works into English which are used in universities all around the world.
