Eamon Gilmore leads the Irish Labour Party and is also Tánaiste, second to the Taoiseach. Gerry Adams leads Sinn Féin. Peter Robinson is the First Minister of the Northern Ireland Assembly, and leader of the Democratic Unionist Party. Martin McGuinness of Sinn Féin, is the Deputy First Minister of the Northern Ireland Assembly. There are some other smaller political parties in Ireland and there are many other important leaders in religious and civic society in Ireland, but the above list is a comprehensive list of political leaders.
