Well Metallica was formed in 1981...and U2 in 1976.So U2.
Yes Metallica is definatly better U2 although U2 does have some good songs, Metallica has more and the very best songs.
The Rolling Stones. They've been around at least 15 years longer than U2, and still are the world's all-time most successful rock band!
Unfortunately, U2 sold more records than Metallica, which doesn't make any sense whatsoever. U2 is a sell-out band who were only in it for the money; Metallica actually made a difference with their music by actually playing their instruments properly.
Golden Earrings, 1961 (though they have not toured in the states for some time) - followed by The Rolling Stones, 1962
As of 2009, U2 has not been in any films except for videos of their own performances, such as Rattle and Hum and U2-3D.
Yes.
Such a question has no specific answer, but quite possible The Beatles. Id say somewhere between Pink Floyd, U2, Beatles, Led Zepplin, Metallica
island records
In general, Led Zeppelin is more popular than U2. Yes, U2 has been probably the biggest band in the world since the 1980s; but Zeppelin still sold more records than U2 did, so Zeppelin's the answer.
