You cannot get a picture behind your apps on the iPod Touch through regular settings. You have to jailbreak your iPod Touch and download a theme to get that theme behind your apps.
depends on how far behind your ipod is behind in updates (ex. my ipod is a 4.3.3 and your updating it to a 5.0.1) will generally take longer and the download itself takes from an hour to 4 hours
If you have an iPod with a camera it comes in the bottom left or if it does not it has speakers built behind the case.

You need to jailbreak your iPod Touch to change the background behind the apps on your iPod Touch. You can only jailbreak your ipod with windows.. not mac .then download Cydia and Winterboard , you need BOTH.It's kinda hard to figure it out at first but then you get used to it ...
Simple answer... you can't!
Add a background image to the iPod Touch via the Photos tab while the iPod is connected to iTunes. You can then select the image in the iPod's settings and set as wallpaper. (See links below)

You can get a net gear router with a usb behind it and you can plug the usb cable of the iPod in it and it should definitely connect no matter what!
In my opinion, you don't need an iPod if you have an iPhone. The iPhone has better technology behind it and has all of the same capabilities and then some.
