Chineke Or Chineka is the igbo creator goddess depicted as a snake or dragon in mythology. She was once widely worshipped, second only to Ala the earth Goddess. Chukwu, the Niger congo word for empty sky, appears only after Christian influence requiring a male god who was made out of thin air!
